Replacing the Finder with Terminal

If you are a particularly stubborn type of person, or you have too much free time, you may want to consider gradually replacing the Finder with Terminal. The first step is to make sure that Terminal is always accessible.

Add Terminal to Your Startup Items

Under System Preferences » Users, you can add terminal to the list of programs that will automatically start up when you log in.

Take the Time to Set Your Preferences

Under Terminal preferences, make a copy of one of the default looks and try changing the fonts and background colors until you find something you like. Make the text big enough! You're going to be spending a lot of time reading it.
